# SDR-3104 ‍Software-Defined Radio

3U SpaceVPX SDR with extended low-frequency receive coverage

## Overview

SDR-3104 is a software-defined radio with 4 transmit and 4 receive channels in a ruggedized 3U SpaceVPX form factor, designed for multi-channel RF digitization and signal processing within spacecraft payload architectures.

SDR-3104 maintains the same core architecture as [SDR-2104](https://www.cesiumastro.com/products/sdr-2104) while direct-sampling from UHF through Ka-band. This simplifies system design and enables greater channel density and processing performance.

## Key Capabilities

### Multi-Channel RF Operation

- Four transmit and four receive channels
- Supports communications, sensing, and ranging in a common SDR architecture

### Wideband RF Digitization

- Sample rates up to 48 GSam/sec
- IQ rates up to 1.5 GSam/sec
- Enables wideband signal capture and processing across supported RF ranges

### Reconfigurable Digital Architecture

- AMD Versal Prime or AI Core SoC-based processing
- FPGA-based waveform processing, filtering, and channelization
- On-orbit reconfiguration of signal processing chains

### SpaceVPX Integration

## Development Kit

The SDR-3104 Development Kit enables engineers to evaluate RF performance, develop custom firmware and waveforms, and enter system integration fully prepared, with fewer surprises and faster progress to flight.

With direct access to RF interfaces, FPGA fabric, and onboard processors, you can rapidly prototype, iterate, and refine mission-specific configurations in a lab setting. A complete board support package (BSP), including boot firmware, device drivers, and example software, removes bring-up friction so your team can focus on building and validating your mission application.

## Vertically Integrated

The SDR-3104 is available as a standalone module, within the Reconfigurable Processing Unit, or across integrated Vireo payload architectures.
